UPDATE! Due to unforeseen circumstances, Pier2Pier4Kids ride is delayed. Dates TBD.
2020, and thus far 2021, has proven to be a difficult year for our entire world with the impact of COVID-19, the displacement, divisiveness, and the financial burden it has created.
Pier2Pier4Kids charity bike ride was created in 2020 with the intent to plant the seed for future fundraising rides for charity and help make a positive impact on our world. It began with one cyclist, businessman, and philanthropist wanting to make a difference and empower the people around him and a vision of linking people, peer-to-peer, to help children and families in need.
Allan Cooper was inspired as an inaugural member of “Captains Ride” for the Steve Waugh Foundation in 2015. He discovered so much about himself, pushing the boundaries of physical and mental endurance, teamwork, and the basic goodness of our fellow man and woman. From that experience, Allan created a venue to connect people and show support to multiple charities that need our help now more than ever. His vision and singular determination has created an opportunity for personal and physical contribution while bringing awareness and raising funds at the same time.
In this, our second year, Allan has gathered a group of passionate individuals committed to our cause who will ride from Santa Barbara to San Diego, pier to pier, and help spread our message and bring even more support to the charities we feature. This ride is more than a personal or physical challenge. It is a journey to engage and build an audience for amazing causes so the more difficult journey of others may be recognized and supported. It is for you, so you can become knowledgeable and active however you are capable.
Thank you in advance for any support you can provide.
